On this World Press Freedom Day, I extend my warm wishes to all who believe in the power of independent journalism.

At Kendra News Australia, we are proud to be an independent media platform, committed to ethical journalism and community voices. As an associate member of the Local & Independent News Association (LINA) and aligned with the standards of the Australian Press Council, we strictly follow the core principles of accuracy, fairness, and accountability.

Our journey is driven by a small but passionate team of volunteers and internship students who are working hard every day to strengthen this platform. We are growing, learning, and striving to do better for our community.

Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans — expanding our publication into more than three languages, launching a digital platform, and introducing online talk shows to amplify diverse voices. These initiatives will help us connect deeper with our audience and serve a broader community.

But we cannot do this alone.

Your support whether through donations, sharing our work, providing feedback, or simply engaging with our content is essential. Without community support, independent journalism cannot survive or succeed.

Media is not just a platform to publish news. It plays a vital role in building informed, connected, and stronger communities. Every step we take forward depends on your trust, your ideas, and your encouragement.

We invite you to stand with us, support independent journalism, and be part of this journey.

Together, let’s build a stronger, more inclusive, and informed community.
